Yes Thomas, That is right and also I think, people want to clear their conscience to some degree near their end in the direction where THEY benefited the most at conflict with their morality... In Ike's case, the military and it's associated industrial complex. Because I believe most people are basically good within but their external ego and avarice somehow trumps their passive goodness during their material life.. So maybe: Goodness is passive and ego and avarice, etc. more aggresive in this plane of existence.. Just thinking out loud, like what Chomsky thinks language is all about.. :) Have a nice evening.. m
