During the bubble I did this to some extent, but then unfortunately stopped doing it fully because I thought my tax bill was going to be excessive..

Don't remind us, it hurts too much.

Is AMGN really worth 65% of Glaxo ???

Nothing wrong with that. It is the other part of the hill that is difficult to manage.

I am not sure I agree to the idea of selling just because the portfolio has done well. On the other hand, it should be very good to be mentally prepared what to do when it suddenly doesn't any more.

setting a total dollar limit on your stock portfolio, and if your portfolio exceeds this amount sell enough stocks to bring it down below the cap

Been trying that. Sold 1/2 my ELN below 7, and 1/2 NPSP this morning at 18.05.

Is that what you had in mind?
