Yes, but it took a lot of guts to endorse, and in some cases, work for Reagan. I saw a notice for a conference of the Social Democratic Party a few weeks ago. It only listed organizers and a couple of speakers, but some of the old crowd remains involved in it. Some of them were important in supporting Solidarity, helping Eastern bloc countries with their transition to democracy, promoting pro- democracy projects that were slated for the trash heap at the end of the Cold War, and so forth. (I was never one, but knew a few).........
