I think Mickey Kaus's comment about the internet exposure was a big factor. Plus the Cousins and Uncles did not like the noise. I have been reading Romenesko's page, and that was keeping the pot boiling. poynter.org

CNBC's editor thinks Raines "Progressive" attitude will lead him to chose the Guy running the Editorial page. I suspect one of the three I posted yesterday will get it. They also think Boyd got shafted, but when you are number two, and picked by Raines, you have to go down with him.
