Aw, SBC just want's to give your packets the scenic tour.

San Francisco to Sacramento to Anaheim to Irvine to Denver to Kansas City. Just be glad it's Southwestern Bell and not Southwest Airlines!

We've alternately had problems with SWBell and AT&T at different times. Good to see you're not "stuck" on just one of them.

I am getting pages back from IHUB in one second and that includes the time it takes for the data to go through my router and my ad blocker. This tells me:

1. IHUB's server is fast

2. IHUB's software is fast

3. IHUB's connection to their isp is good

4. IHUB's isp is doing a credible job of connecting to the internet

The situation with SI right now has a few unknowns as I mentioned in my previous post; however, my traces to SI, and yours too, for that matter, are nominally the same not only as my traces to IHUB but to the traces I used to get to SI when it was in Washington. That tells me that the way SI's servers are currently configured isn't delivering pages as fast as they were previously. To me this falls into the category of glitches caused by the move.

In the past few minutes I've been getting very speedy downloads from SI in the 1-2 second range. Possibly the new Dell server is already online.

You have an unusually long route on one of your traces, not unusual for a boondock area like San Diego. I'd say your own isp is alot more likely to be the cause of the "slowness" you are getting on IHUB.
