MB, I've thought about the Sosa bat thing a while and now believe he knew exactly what he was doing -- a very calculated move (who'd believe it was on purpose with just one corked bat? -- just don't scramble to retrieve it if it breaks...). Not hard to use real wood for the bats that will go to the Hall of Fame since you know when you are sitting on 59, or 499, etc.

Did you hear a fan ran onto the field during Sosa's game tonight and threw cork at him.

Next thing you know, he'll turn up positive for steroids. Oh, I forgot, that's condoned still.
