Bush went to war to rid the world of Saddam because the UN, with french and Russian economic interests, failed to act appropriately.

Oh for the love of heavens. I am in the US right now and nobody believes that CNN dogma even here.

Obviously, the war was bad news for the economy and for the stock market

Stock markets, yes, because they hate uncertainty and that is what war is all about. As for war, it is good for the economy. Look it up.

Bush, IMO, was misled by Cheney into believing the WMD position

Oh, really? Does this mean that now you, Fred Levine, are coming to agree with those of us who were doubting the existence of those "tons and tons of WMDs"? Does this mean that you now understand why the French opposed the invasion of Iraq based on unproven allegations of "tons and tons of WMDs"?

How nice.

It is also quite interesting to see you seem to be rationalizing Bush administration's actions a la "Bush must have been misled" etc etc.

You've been lied to. I long suspected it and said so. You never even suspected. Now deal with it.
