LPS5,

Are you from California by any chance? Day in and day out, myself and numerous others post reliable sources to the information you request, but since that information doesn't agree with your own personal prejudices, it simply isn't so as far as you're concerned. The only place I know of where uninformed opinion is universally accepted as a viable substitute for real knowledge is California.

The only "terrorist" support Hussein even came close to being involved in was sending money to those Palistinian families who had a family member die as a result of fighting against Israeli oppression. There hasn't been a single mainstream media source that has accurately reported that fact. It really isn't any mystery why the majority of Americans believe Iraq was involved in 9/11 since that is who the Bush administration has been trying to pin the blame on for nearly 2 years. The media has happily reported every piece of propaganda and manufactured evidence the Bush administration has pumped out, and the results are what anyone with half a brain would expect under the circumstances. The sad fact of the matter is anyone who hasn't put in a considerable amount of effort to dig into - and analyze - the evidence, would be unlikely to have any other point of view.

They were never told the truth in the first place. Their beliefs are based on falsified reports, unsubstantiated accusations, and shameless propaganda campaigns.

Simon’s report examines the administration’s use of Madison Avenue to produce an ad campaign aimed at improving the image of America in the Muslim world. He also interviews a former CIA agent who investigated the oft-mentioned report that hijacker Mohammed Atta met with an Iraqi intelligence official in Prague several months before the deadly attacks on 9/11.
...Despite a lack of evidence that the meeting took place, the item was cited by administration officials as high as Vice President Dick Cheney and ended up being reported so widely that two-thirds of Americans polled by the Council on Foreign Relations believe Iraq was behind the terrorist attacks of 9/11"
