I was trying to figure out which Harley Davidson commercial.

Then I remembered the one with the car parts. Is that the
one? I think it was a Honda commercial.

Harley could probably make a commercial like that but there
would be a few differences.

One is that it would be much louder.
Two is that there would have been an oil spot or two on the floor.
From what I hear, Harley's are a little bit like dogs in
that they mark their spots... Nice looking bikes though.
I can't get over the price those things still fetch. Even
the high milage ones made in the 80's and early 90's are
above ten grand. Friggin crazy. There seems to be a
bubble market in Harleys. <g> <ng>

Speaking of Motorcycles... I saw a bunch of them on the road
today. They are all heading up to the Americade bike week
that started last week in the Adirondacks. It's a pretty
big event that draws all sorts of enthusiasts. The road is
filled with Harley's, Honda Goldwings, BMW's, and others.

The coordinators have been trying to keep it where the
riffraff don't dominate the event. So far they have been
fairly successful but occasionally the bad guys grab a
headline in the paper. For the most part it's a fun group
of people.

I believe they average 50,000 bikers. Brings a lot of
money to the area for a week that is usually when the black
flies are near the worst.

I'll be heading up tonight or tomorrow morning in my
minivan. No doubt they will all be staring at me in envy
once again.

Not much is cooler than a mini van.

Perhaps I'll put some loud pipes on it someday.
Paint some flames on the sliding passenger doors, and hide
the baby car seat. <g>

I'm not going to the event, though. Instead I'll be
putting in docks and rigging up my small sailboat and
powerboat while swatting bugs with big teeth.

I bought a cool toy for the kids this year.
When I was a kid we used to tie a huge truck inner tube to
the back of the boat with a long rope. These days they
have something that ya inflate but it takes the shape of a
cool looking race boat. The two boys can sit in it as I
motor them around the lake. After they get a taste of that
it won't be long before they are up on water skis.

Here's a picture of it.

If you were a kid, would you think that is cool or what?!

I didn't tell the boys yet. I'm going to surprise them
next time they come up.

Even I might have to take a ride in that beast of a blow-up
boat! Looks like fun. Get me outside of the wake on a
hard turn to the port side. It'll feel like I'm doing a
100 MPH as I skip over the ripples.

Yee haw!

P.S. I should address this message to Scoot, too.
Ever go to one of those bike rallies Scott? I imagine they
are fun.
