Yes, there is. Obviously. But the process is underway, and frankly, it appears to be more meaningful progress than any we've seen before.

There is a reason it is more meaningful, by the way. And that Bush has made exceptionally bold moves. He has removed the threat of Saddam, making the entire region more secure. Now, he has taken serious steps to marginalize Arafat. Look for American efforts to quash Hamas next.

Instead of merely throwing the existing leaderships together as was done previously, he is striving to put in place a leadership which can be reasonable.

This is the stuff of which great leaders are made. The Nobel Prize committee notwithstanding.
