To my knowledge, there shouldn't have been any reason to use binary. I used text. Oddly, the files were identical when I checked their attributes in case it was a permissions problem and were identical in VI.

Doing the same publish to the second webserver, I didn't have that same problem. Weird, but if it happens again, now I know what to do.

We're still trying to get the Search sorted out and will be trying to get Infospace involved this coming week since it should've been one of the intact parts of the site delivered.

Tried to get the Oracle clients installed on the new database server today, but no dice. It errored out repeatedly, whether we tried to install from CD or from a fresh copy downloaded off the internet.

Oh, when you've got a 100Mbps pipe and are downloading from another fat pipe site, it's kinda cool. Even when downloading a 625MB file. <g>
