Buckey so sorry to hear that but it is not the dog ,,but the owner............. just like it isn't the gun that kills ,,but the gun owner. Any breed of dog can be genteel and be turned into a viscousness by its owner. I say prosecute the owner of such animals like an animal. Maybe allow/train the "animal" to attack its owner ???????

bucky..my deepest thoughts are with you and your son. I'm glad the injuries aren't life threatening. But, banning the dogs will do NO good. Yes, these dogs will probably be put down (as they should) because they showed human aggression. The only way to stop this is to PUNISH THE OWNERS SEVERELY WITH JAIL TIME. Any and all dogs can be trained to be agressive, and owners who encourage the behaviour need to be held responsible. Responsible dog owners DON"T let their dogs run loose. The number one dog for dog bites in the USA last year came from POODLES. Second only to labs and cocker spaniels. You only hear about the pit-bulls and rotweilers because they're SO big the do more damage. But trust me, a full sized poodle that's a jerk can rip an arm off. My wife and I do a LOT of work and politicing on behalf of dogs rights, and the rights of citizens to PUNISH THE OWNERS. Please see www.pitbullproject.org. Then, visit www.spdrdogs.org.
