Nice work, Shack. Good point about the cluster of support ‘round SP 948.

If we forget Elliott and Fibonacci and just look at the price, the market is still in a healthy uptrend. The recent acceleration was probably unsustainable, but the hourly chart still looks great, with a series of “cup and handles”, followed by new breakouts.

Now, every journey begins with the first step. The decline off yesterday’s top occurred in three waves so far, creating in the process a minor low around 990. The index closed at the trendline which supported the advance since 5/27.

A strong move down on Monday - and a completion of an impulse - may be an early indication that the bears have a chance. On the other hand, an advance into the 990’s would create an overlap – and show that the bear hunting season may still be in full swing.
