The hype? Compared to the central element of the war marketing plan that WMD propaganda was up until the war started? You and the local Rummy worshippers have no shame whatsoever..

Then we will have to look up the writers of such articles and find what other articles they have printed, and the slant of those articles.>>> A great summary. Writers are in a single-minded rut. No perspective whatever. Did the military keep Saddam from blowing up the oil fields. Did the military survive the suicidal bombers that attacked tanks with explosive laden pickups. Did we manage to shoot down the missiles sent into Kuwait?. Did we lose 10000 troops? Did we talk generals into abandoning the fight before it even started.? Did we keep them from blowing up the wired bridges? Did we do the country and the world a good deed by eliminating Saddams regime? But what is the discussion about ? We may possibly, just possibly, have erred in emphasizing one of the many good reasons that could have been given for freeing 23 mm oppressed people and making the world a safer place. Unproven- the search is not over and we know the WMD's were carefully hidden . The writers have no access to WMD information that is not available to the public. ( which is what makes the tales all read about the same) Those who claim to have access to classified "inside" information or leaks should be made to reveal their sources because that would be a crime on somebodys part and also a crime to print the info which is why the stories are so damn vague and filled with innuendos and speculation. Create a mystery in the public mind. The public loves a mystery, H. Perot, the OJ trial, the chad counting results in Florida, UFO's, the Kennedy love affairs, the Clinton affairs, Roosevelt's mistress,G Washingtons mistress . Feeding the suspicions and jealousy of all those who hate successful or rich people who managed to get elected and hold a steady job. Its a risky venture and one that could backfire with a vengeance on some writers when the facts are all in. . Whatever the outcome, it is not going to stop terrorism or affect world peace one iota .
