About Schmidt is a different sort of role for Jack (imo). You might like it. It isn't like the Crossing Guard/the Pledge/As Good As It Gets, at all- if any of those are the Jack film you're remembering.

We saw The Guru last night. It was laugh out loud funny. I happen to really like Indian cinema of all kinds, and the music/dance type sequences thrown into some of the movies crack me up- but I never thought you could translate that into an American film, but you CAN. The Guru is the funniest movie we have seen in a long time. Seeing Americans doing the Indian dancing is just priceless- I really loved it. It's a feel good movie. There is more of the over represented hooker with heart of gold theme in this movie- but who cares? My husband and I can't wait to buy it. Lovely movie.

Did you ever see The Princess and the Warrior? That's one of my favorite movies. I own it, and Run Lola Run, and Winter Sleepers- by the same director- but Princess and the Warrior is my favorite. I just love that movie. It's about love and redemption. Come to think of it, the Guru is about that also, but in a slightly different way:-)

Still no sign of the jet lag abating

Remember that your soul arrives after your body does when flying internationally. Just a little soul displacement, that's all.

Keep repeating the mantra, "He took a duck in the face at two hundred and fifty knots."
