There doesn't seem to be a way to scan the quarantined file with the 6/7 defs, which I have. I guess I could unquarantine the file and see if the new scan calls it a bug or not.

I submitted the quarantined iun6002.exe file to Symantec with a note that I hadn't seen any of the changes associated with Lolok on their site and wonderd if it was a false positive. The message said they'd typically repsond in 48 hrs.

Meantime I discovered that Microsoft Word no longer works. I can open a document but then it freezes, so I am assuming it needs iun6002.exe to run. So now I got to figure out how to get the file installed. Any ideas how to do it?

Got a response back already from Symantec verifying that Backdoor.Lolok.B was a false positive. Restored the quarantined file, rebooted and Word is working again. Sheesh. It's been a long weekend sweating this thing out. Next time I get a virus indication from NAV the first thing I am going to do is submit it to Symantec. The problems could have been worse but I have spent a bunch of time rebuilding my mIRC setup and still not done.

Into every life a little rain must fall! Hehe.

One more time, thanks again for all the help to you and to Dennis Murphy.
