" It's not revisionist history. In fact, the details of it don't matter, as far as the fact that Bush and Blair are liars. But it's an historical fact that the Iranians had just moved into the Kurdistani town that got slimed. Iranian hope was that the Kurds would rebel against Saddam. Saddam slimed them all, Iranians and Kurds. Re: "Is it just me (to the audience) or does this sound remarkably contradictory? It's true that Iraqi WMDs are secreted "somewhere", but that Bush and Blair lied about their existence in order to start a war? They either exist, or they don't. " The weapons don't exist, except in your imagination. My point was that even the existence of weapons in your imagination didn't make what Bush and Blair said (that they had top secret proof that Iraq currently had WMDs) true. Bush and Blair lied. It's that simple. No weapons were used, none were found, and the reason is ovbvious. There wasn't any. Re: "Doesn't it bother you that "Mrs. Anthrax", Huda Salih Mahdi Ammash, has failed repeated polygraph tests? " Not at all. Fox News enthusiastically reported the fall of Basra four times. They've reported the discovery of WMDs (later retracted) at least five times. They're not a news station, they're entertainment. Wait until you see the news printed in the New York Times by people who bother to fact check. For example, what were the questions that the lady failed on the polygraph? Re: "And what will you all say if, someday, those WMDs are found hidden up in some very isolated location? " I'll say that Saddam Hussein had lost them, of course, LOL. And I do expect this to eventually happen. And like with the UN inspectors, it will be a half dozen shells or some other such trivial amount. Deeply covered in dust, it will just be the usual lost munitions, stuff that was slated to be destroyed but got missed. Hell, the US has lost more than its share of WMDs over the years, and we're an advanced superpower. -- Carl
