Hi Hawkmoon; Re: "I'm still confused as to why the Bush administration hasn't enlisted police officers of other Arab nations (probably excluding Saudi Arabia) for police duty in Iraq. Can't seem to find any logical reason this avenue has not been followed up on."

BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!! LOL!!! BWAHHAHAHAHAHA!!!

It stuns me that I'm typing this for you.

The Arab nations think our activity in Iraq is immoral, illegal and unethical as hell. It's the least popular idea in the Arab world since mandatory adult circumcision.

This reminds me of how the Bush administration deluded themselves on Turkish involvement in the war against Iraq. Turkey has a democratically elected government. The people of Turkey were against the war by 95%, and were against Turkish participation (even if failure to participate hurt Turkey economically) by about 90%.

But despite these simple facts, so simple that any room temp IQ should be able to figure it out, the Bushies thought they could get the Turks to sign up for the conflict. They were so convinced that they even left a division sitting around in boats, ready to unload in Turkey. Instead, the Turks (because they didn't want to offend the US) managed to make it look like they were just about to sign up for a war for months.

How the Hell do you think the Bush administration is going to convince the Arabs to participate in something that has enraged the Arab public more than anything we've ever done?

Sometimes I think that the Bushies all believe in the infinite power of money. Or maybe it's just that they simply ignore any public opinions other than their own, since they know that they're right and everyone else is wrong.
