it's about showing the Arab world, you attack the US and dance in the streets, we walk into the heart of your world and destroy your government. That's the main reason we fought, not WMDs and not oil.

That might be the reason that we fought, but that reason would not be acceptable to the populace, and the administration knew it. They needed a threat.

Did Iraq attack the US? When?
