Hi Sig; Re: " Big wars are obsolete."

Maybe big wars are obsolete. I kind of hope so.

Re: "This war on Terror will be won by obtaining information, by sources, insiders or spies we dont want to discuss, by cooperation with as many Nations as possible, and by technical means or device we wont want to disclose to the public."

The problem with Bush's attacking Iraq without full justification is that he angered huge numbers of people. Hell, he angered me, and I'm an American! And Iraq was not a source of terrorism against the US anyway.

Now I agree that Iraq was supporting Palestinian terrorism, but the same can be said for every single other country with substantial numbers of Arabic speakers.

If anything, the real reason for the war against Iraq was because Sharon believed that it would relieve some of the pressure on Israel.

Of course it didn't work, and it's now obvious to all that it can't possibly work. Saddam can no longer promise monetary rewards to martyrs in Palestine, but they still attack Israel with no discernable change in quantity over the last few months.

So with his hopes destroyed, Sharon negotiates from a position of weakness, tearing down settlements in the midst of an increase in attacks on Israelis.
