Jim, Dollar goes deeper down the swirling bowl, stocks rock for a little while, bonds rock for a little while, foreigners leave US securities in droves. The economy could be temporarily spurred by the new round of robbing the future to buy now. Bush is hoping a cut with his deep deficit spending will be enough to carry the economy through the 2004 election season. If not, adios Iran or Syria or somebody.
