Perhaps. Maybe they'd even go batty and say this is a "left-wing conspiracy."

You're so transparent. The same right who now whines nailed Clinton to the cross for far less.

Meanwhile, even Gephardt doesn't believe that Bush lied about WMD:

He is playing to voter sentiment. Do you really think you know what he is thinking? He is hedging his bets as most prudent politicians would.

Do you really believe that the administration did not exagerate their case? The tubes, the uranium, the Queda connection, the statements made by bush and cheney about iraqi nuclear capabilities later debunked by IEIA, the dead end intelligence provided to blix, the statements about decontamination trucks that were really fire trucks. The run up at UN, the intransigence, the unwillingness to work with the international community, the British dossier fiasco mentioned by powell as clear evidence. Are you kidding me?

But back to the issue at hand. Guys like you have already made up their minds regarding Bush's supposed guilt, hence my "guilty until proven innocent" comment.

Actually, I am a "guy lke Al" and I am not entirely convinced they lied because of the risks involved in making such a lie. If they did, their behavior is not much different than that of a kid in a hot car trying to out run the police........or a Top Gun.

Meanwhile, even Gephardt doesn't believe that Bush lied about WMD:

"We'll have an investigation in the Congress," said Gephardt, a candidate for the Democratic presidential nomination. "We should. You should, after any war, review what happened, what the intelligence was and whether things were done right."

"But," he said, "there is long, consistent, clear evidence that Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction. And I'm still convinced that we are going to find them."

Gephardt is the biggest wuss east of the Mississippi; he wants to be president so bad, he would betray his grandmother. I wouldn't pay much attention to what he says at this point. He's waiting to see what the public really thinks before he makes his definitive statement.
