Bingo. That's it exactly. Now how do you respond as one who holds lots of US currency? That's what we need to figure out, and I'm still struggling. Where do you hide? Equities? No, most will lag inflation. Bonds? Nope. Real estate? Nope, bubble there will make it lag inflation. Internationally? Nope, other countries will join in devaluation. Gold? Yep. Commodities? Sure, but how the hell does an individual pursue this as an investment strategy?

How do you fight a determined effort to destroy the purchasing power that you presently have?
