AB - If inflation ultimately results from the 2002 tax cuts, it appears to me from the current slow recovery and remaining slack in the economy that it will occur later rather than sooner. At least with inflation, those seeing it coming can choose to invest accordingly to avoid it rather than having the government mandate our investment choices as proposed in Japan. In my book, it's not O.K. for a draconian government to mandate how I invest the savings nestegg that I worked for all my life. In their shoes, I would be looking to ship my nestegg out of the country as fast as I could before they impose currency controls. P
