Thanks for the article on Hatfill. I agree with your assessment that he's the fall guy. The real players are well hidden in the AMRIID shadows.

As to the NY Times, it is indeed a mixed bag. I do like the work that Paul Krugman does on the op/ed page, as well as Nicholas Kristof, Maureen Dowd and Bob Herbert. Gail Collins' editorials strike me as being intelligent, honest and well considered.

But I do have problems with the ability of the paper to stay within the confines of a very small sandbox as defined by corporate America and the Bushistas. The news department lacks in curiousity. And Tom Friedman's apologia for Amero-Zionist hegemony drives me right up the wall.

I'd say I'm more friendly to the Times than Gore Vidal is, but I do take the paper with a large grain of salt.
