room, do you remember what the original discussion wrt databases was? I said there was no growth, you said msft was growing like hotcakes or something. I believe there is no growth in databases and continue to believe that. As far as oracle buying psft.... are you under the impression peoplesoft is a DB company? They are not. They are APPS. Psft competes with the oracle apps line which is another business completely separate from the engine. As far as apps are concerned there probably is some growth ahead but my sense it is in the web side which are web servers and the like.
