Ray, It was sad, but very revealing watching the national news tonight. What is amazing is that when you get the Talking Head Generals telling how well things are in Iraq, you get one story. But interviewing the guys in the trenchs it seems that as one PFC said very clearly on NBC Nightly News...."They hate us here", and a Army Chaplain stating along these lines..."The men are getting frustrated and beginning to take out their anger against one another...something has to be done, and soon." But the most touching story and sight was seeing the spouse of a Sgt. from Ft. Stewart, with tears streaming down her face and lamenting that her husband was scheduled to be back by now...but it seems that now they are stuck for an undetermined length of time in Iraq. And amazingly, they pointed out that they had cancelled there mail service and given away the supplies for their vehicles and weapons..but now they were told their stay was being extended. Yep! One Charles DeGaulle told us very clearly, and time and again ..."Don't get involved in Southeast Asia...you can't win a war there against those people." But did we listen? No! Did we get our butts kicked? Yes! Israel, with the best army in the middle east, have they been able to turn the tide against their enemy in their country? NO! And Shrub thinks we can waltz in and waltz out in just a few months....and now we wonder why there are those who thinks he is a idiot!!!!
