Texas Dude,

LOL! I stand corrected. Sorry, my mistake. I'll never make it again. Do you suppose we could open a pub at 11 Downing Street, London and call it the "Boorish Bliar, an ale and bitters purviar"?

********
Back in the days when we needed a Revolution in this country, there was a famous pub located in Philadelphia at the time of the American Revolution. It served the "riff-raff" and was called The Four Alls. This motto hung over the door:

FOUR ALLS:
The Four Alls was a mechanic's tavern in Philadelphia that held a rump convention for a Declaration of Independence in 1776. The sign on the tavern depicted four figures: a king with the motto "I govern all", a general with the motto "I fight for all", a minister labeled "I pray for all", and a laborer with the legend "I pay for all." Also note: citypaper.net

And today, things certainly haven't changed, the riff-raff still get to pay for the follies of the king, courtiers and churchmen.

Plus ca change....... n'est pas?
