Mephisto, I can't tell what is going wrong with the American media entirely, but giving Falwell a bully pulpit on 60 Minutes is ridiculous. And today's PBS News Hour is nothing short of propaganda and disinformation. They completely distort the controversy over the WMDs. They give Bush plenty of time to tell his lies, then refuse to put anyone with a brain on the program. Instead of countering Bush's lies, we get a segment with a completely pointless discussion of health care by Carol Mosely-Braun. This is simply a red herring, a way to avoid reporting reality to America. Then they have a bunch of academics waffling about the Middle East. It's truly pathetic how useless Jim Lehrer and the News Hour has become. This show is dreadful. And to go completely over the top with utter ridiculousness, on the day that Hillary Clinton releases her much awaited new book, the New Hour decides to interview an author...... Sandra Day O'Connor. One of the infamous anti-democrats putschists of December, 2000.
