Well I agree with you that the situation in Russia is changing, that they are beginning to have more faith in their currency when years ago they demanded to be paid in any hard currency but not their own. Almost all the growth in the money supply last year can be attributed to growth in the supply of currency. Consider that Americans are moving to more and more use of electronic money, one has to conclude there is a pile of dollars piling up somewhere in the world.
