Check out C-SPAN 1 right now!

Hi Mephisto,

During the Iraq War, the viewship of the BBC via the Internet from the U.S. went up 30%. People here have a thirst for the truth, and we know we aren't getting it from our government and the corporate media.

Currently on C-SPAN, there's a great discussion on the House Floor between Bob Menedez and William Delahunt. They're pillorying the Bush team. They talk about how rudimentary Internet searches on Niger and uranium show how grossly we were lied to.

Re: "I think I've convinced my husband that if he wants to know what is going on in the world, he shouldn't
watch The Jim Lehrer News Hour."

Tonight was shockingly bad. Even NBC Evening News was giving some decent coverage of the WMD controversy. Lehrer should quit. He's a despicable man at this point. He played a 40 second segment of the President lying at one of his Cabinet meetings today, and Lehrer provided absolutely nothing in the way of investigative skepticism.

I've discovered the best way to get useful information is to rely on various news digests to sort out the plethora of information out there. These are among the ones that I keep in immediate ease on my personal links bar:
