It was way less of a hassle for me than it might have been. For one, I didn't get the virus warning till Friday night and thus I had the whole weekend available to deal with it. For another, I didn't have a real virus and thus didn't experience the damage that is often done by viruses. It retrospect the biggest pain was having to rebuild my mIRC settings from scratch and that problem was lessened by having a backup on another computer. The backup wasn't current for the last six months but it was a start.

Considering I only backup a few files and some software to zips, I probably got off lucky. Then again, I'm at a point after fifteen years of PC usage where I really don't freak out the way I used to. So I guess one of the best things I have learned from using computers is patience <g> And that's a good thing.
