And since when is Nitrogen lighter than helium or hydrogen?? Considering that the earth's atmosphere is already 78.1% nitrogen already, why not just fill those balloons up with air?

Pressured nitrogen is ususally used for drying equipment without dismantling it. There were two trailers, two purposes. One was full of aluminum for making hydrogen, the other was full of sodium azide for making nitrogen. Rumsfeld's team does try to confuse the two trailers, but if you read the descriptions from multiple sources you can pretty easily distinguish them.

What do you make of the gas collection system at the top of the tanks? Were they collecting the foul gasses from biological processes? Perhaps when Saddam told his engineers that he wanted smart bombs their cell phones acted up and they built fart bombs.
