If the world goes into a tizzy about SARS, can any of those folks who think bio weapons aren't WMD have credibility....? I think not.

The plague flu of 1918 killed millions of people.

It sure doesn't take a rocket scientist to imagine the rammifications of that....

And as you said....anthrax caused it's share of millions of dollars of cost, and kept people out of work for some time.

Except that there's never been any particularly massive "bang for the buck" demonstrated for chemical or biological weapons. Pretty massive demonstrated propaganda value, though, when you got a war that's got to go off on the marketing plan schedule.
