I reiterate, when the majority of the world's economies simultaneously attempt competitive devaluations of their currencies, they *will* succeed in generating inflation. A single country, even as large as Japan, can't do it alone because investment flows run outside the borders of the country. But when virtually all the major players are engaged in the same exercise, it will be a different story entirely.
