and those people who are lucky enough to have a pension do not get cost of living increases only the pass through on increases on medical insurance. Then they get the pass through on property taxes and some end up force to sell the home they lived in for years because they can no longer afford to live in the area. did taxes for these people for a few years... medical costs are killing them and local taxes.
