"This country deserves better leadership...when will we get it...?" Sorry Scott, but exactly why does a self-centered, obnoxious country deserve leadership better than it has been getting for many years? The superficial U.S. electorate started the process of trivializing U.S. leadership with the election of Ronald Reagan in 1980. The U.S. Senate has been a pork-barreling, self-serving operation for as long as I can remember--thus mirroring the U.S. public. I have frequently stated that people get the leadership they deserve. That is clearly true in this increasingly dumb country. "Dumb and Dumber"--Dubya and the electorate. /john
