17:15 ET LEN Lennar Corp beats handily, guides Y03 & Y04 EPS above consensus (69.75 +2.49)
Reports Q2 (May) earnings of $2.05 per share, $0.35 better than the Reuters Research consensus of $1.70; revenues rose 35.0% year/year to $2.12 bln vs the $1.95 bln consensus. According to Lennar's president and CEO, "The U.S. homebuilding market remains very strong as a result of favorable supply and demand trends." Co also issues new Y03 EPS guidance of $8.50, vs R.R. consensus of $7.97 and previous guidance of $7.73; sees Y04 EPS of $9.50 vs estimate of $8.53 and previously guided earnings of $9.09 per share.




17:08 ET TXN Texas Instruments guides Q2 EPS lower, cites weaker revs (20.39 +0.17) -- Update --
Company now sees Q2 EPS of $0.06, "plus or minus a few cents," vs Reuters Research consensus of $0.08, based on lower revenue and higher charges related to restructuring of certain manufacturing facilities. Co now expects total sequential rev growth of about 5% compared to originally forecasted 7%, with estimated sequential growth in its semiconductor segment of 2 percent vs previously anticipated 4%.
