I find it hard to derive more explicit examples of misguided, heavy handed tinkering going awry in such a way so as to entrench, indeed fuel, the very effects they sought to address and mitigate in the first place. Add to that the dual forces of rent seekers and the entitlement sentiment of legal/regulatory squatters and, well, we've quite a recipe for a damned-if-you-do, damned-if-you-don't scenario here. Not to mention the fact that it provides a legitimate platform for certain other factions (...) to build consensus and extend their influence. LPS5
