I see it as a Christian, not as "Progressive". But the path is narrow.. One of the main appeals of Socialism and Fascism for the West was it's complete tie-in with the altruism of Christianity. The sacrifice of the individual for the good of the group is at the heart of "Christ on the Cross." It was an easy switch for the Fascist and Communist thugs to get people to go from the Christian "sacrifice for the good of mankind!" to the collectivist "sacrifice for the good of the group!" So I am not surprised at your take on it. We have opposing views on Metaphysics and Epistemology. You see a world beyond as the real world, and think the way to understand it is the use of Faith. I see this world as the real world, and think the way to understand it is the use of Reason.
