Roadmap to peace, update #4>Bus Explodes in Jerusalem

Ask yourself, what if this happens in a US city?

The Associated Press

JERUSALEM - An explosion ripped through a bus in downtown Jerusalem on Wednesday, killing 13 passengers and wounding dozens more, police said.

"All indications are it was a suicide bomber," Jerusalem police spokesman Gil Kleiman told CNN. "As of now, we have no indication of who did this."

Avi Zohar, a spokesman for the Magen David Adom rescue service, reported 30 casualties but did not provide a breakdown of dead and wounded. Police said several passengers were killed.

Other reports from paramedics and police indicated as many as 40 casualties, including 15 people in serious condition.

Police said the blast apparently was set off by a suicide attacker who targeted bus No. 14 on Jaffa Street, Jerusalem's main thoroughfare. The blast was heard throughout the city.
