So Baghdad isn't Peoria yet, guess the US didn't conquer it. As Chalabi said on Charlie Rose last night, the situation is much better than is being reported, since most of the reporters were anti-war and are now looking for bad news to justify their positions. However, it's still worse than it needs to be. Reports on NPR today from various NGOs said that it's improving slowly. They point out that lots of the infrastructure that America is taking flak for not restoring hasn't worked for years anyway. They just got one of Baghdad's four sewage treatment facilities working for the first time in ten years.

But do keep predicting chaos, it's very encouraging.
