BEFORE The Street.com trashed AMD, I distinctly recall watching a Kudlow amd Cramer TV show on CNBC in which one of the analyst guests (I think a crony of Cramer) after giving a few recommended stock picks cited Corning and AMD as good shorts and potential bankruptcy candidates. He mentioned the high debt load and cash burn. Cramer just sat there looking as surprised as anyone. I wouldn't doubt this was his original source of information from which all else followed. Still, I think AMD is very risky until it is clear that they will return to profitability. A good quarter (rev.>$715 million / loss less than $75 million / strong forward guidance) might be enough to mitigate the current risk.
