Pete: Actually, it will be interesting to watch this indicator as the market flutucates. If the market goes down and this hangs high, it is very bearish. If it declines with the market then it might end up okay.

Here's the reason imo that any correction will be normal and not catastrophic:

Max pain is 28 plus for the cubes. Closed today at 30.52 . Look at all the puts at 30 down to 24. Do you think the market is going to allow all these shorts to cash in. Imo, this is significant negative sentiment as to what bets people have placed, not what they were advised to do or what they said they would do. If we do decline in a fashion like the 1987 crash, that 20% plus decline turned out to be a bottom, sideways action occurred for a while, and the bull resumed. A lot of people with bearish views are hoping this happens so they can then get on board. Do you think the market will accommodate them<g>?
