You are absolutely correct in your observations. Neither the U.S. nor the Ba'athist governments provided any figures whatsoever on Iraqi military casualties. Birds of a feather, would be the logical conclusion.

Re: When will enough be enough?

We'll have to reach far beyond wretched excess before this situation becomes utterly repugnant to civil society worldwide. So far, Bush seems to have been able to bully the rest of the world remarkably successfully. The mere fact that Bush is a war criminal is no guarantee that he'll be forced to stop.
