"Life is basically a struggle that we lose in the end." Maybe, maybe not...depends on the context of the struggle. If healthy people imagine that they have the wit and resources to live a while, and likely to a ripe old age, then the struggle should not be focused on mere survival. I figure you qualify for the long haul path in life. It is inevitable, however, that we will pass from this life. I would agree that the struggle for mere survival is a lost cause. My personal battle, therefore, is against the forces that would have a negative impact on my eternal soul.
