They didn't just take land in 1967; they defended themselves and took the land in the process. Interesting how the story always seems to start at a point you find convenient. From the publication of Herzl's "The Jewish State" to the present day, there has not been a moment when the goal of the Jewish State was compatible with the alleged, but seldom pursued, goal of peaceful coexistence. Violence was implicit from day one. You know this already, of course; it's been demonstrated fairly abundantly.
