You agree with some blogger / bloviating pundit who wants to pooh-pooh the whole thing? What a surprise. Round up the usual suspects.

The "liar" thing is sort of dumb, I'd assume the "I will never lie to you" line went out of style with Jimmy Carter. Or maybe not, I haven't kept up with the "nuances" of the "moral clarity" crowd. And it hardly matters, it's all politics and the unwashed masses still seem to believe that W showed some Saddam / 9/11 / bin Laden connection, which despite continual floating of the "Prague Connection" and other similar crap, W's handlers didn't really claim to have made. At least not consistently, my recollection is the inimitable Rummy, in whom we trust, couldn't keep himself from recycling that particular garbage more than a few times. Cooked intelligence is hardly a new thing, William Casey was probably the modern master of the art. But in general, W's faithful followers do seem to be protesting a bit muchly about this.
