Excellent article. It is rare to see the media state the correct chronology of events, that Israel struck Hamas, and then Hamas retaliated. 99% of the time this chronology is inverted by the media.

Sceptics note a pattern of Israeli assassinations at crucial moments in the peace efforts. In January and July 2002, and March this year, the army's assassination of senior Hamas or Tanzim commanders broke weeks without Palestinian attacks and efforts to establish a ceasefire.

George Bush vehemently opposed Mr. Sharon's assassination tactics in the Rantissi affair.

When will Georgie boy cut off Sharons' welfare check and let him know he means business?

Those "settlements" dismantled the day before yesterday were garbage dumps, not settlements.
