BAGHDAD, Iraq, June 12 — A U.S. helicopter was shot down and an Air Force F-16 fighter jet crashed as American forces attacked what the military called “a terrorist training camp” in central Iraq on Thursday, officials said. Separately, ground forces pressed forward with a massive sweep north of Baghdad aimed at finding militants organizing attacks on occupation forces.
